Slow thoughts, Observation and Perspectives
Late Night thoughts:)
Last year around Sep.. I met an accident and if I wouldnât probably have taken the right decision at the right time, I wouldâve gone (where? I donât know yet)..Anyway, now thinking of that event - did I really save my life after taking that decision or delayed my death? The odds of me dying on any given moment is brilliantly slim but itâs never 0% .. right?
There is another thread of weird thought sometimes pups up.. just think about this- humans are the dominant species on earth but what if plants were just farming us and giving us the necessary O2 for our survival until about ~90 years we eventually die and our bodies are thrown back into the soil in some sense for plants to consume us and the cycle continues? We all are constantly producing Co2 which plants need to grow to produce O2.. right? Therefore, If someone says you are useless, just know you are helping keep everyone else alive just by existing. Itâs all the cycle and there seems to be an order for all the chaos.
It also blows my mind thinking that if- plants and animals are mostly made of water, the story of all the life is planets really developing the oceans and eventually watching those oceans get up and start walking around. Another way to look at it is, since all living things are made up of the same stuff that of stars in the cosmos, the evolution of life is basically stars watching their siblings fall apart and their corpses are getting back up and trying to learn about themselves. Isnât this what all scientific progression is all about? We are just trying to learn what is there around us, understand the structure of the cosmos with the language of Mathematics?
I was reading a book âThe Untethered Soulâ by Michael A. Singer and the writer somewhere mentions that when you are reading a book - you are actually looking at a dead tree and hallucinating and actually, every book that you have ever read is just a remix of a dictionary⊠never looked at it this way..
In-fact if you pick up your phone and touch at the right places, you are able to book a ride for you.. now just take a minute and try thinking this from the pov of someone who doesnât know what a phone is and for him/her there are really a small amount of steps taken to get a cab. And therefore, there must be a set of finite actions that if you take in the correct order would make you a millionaire in an hour (for example â crypto, stocks etc..)..but you just donât know what they are but they are somewhere there in the form of strings reverberating and we are unable to access it now.
Also leading to this - Neuroscience is the study of the brain, by the brain and its also the study of the brain learning itself. For a moment, think of claustrophobic people who donât like the feeling of being trapped in a small place with no way out. But if you think about it your brain is completely trapped in your skull and you are completely fine with that.
Your reality is just all in your head and your hands are just your brainâs personal servants to interact with what is perceives to be real. That further brings the question â how can we know what exists outside of our subjective experiences if we can never step outside of our own head? and if we can never step outside, answer seems to be simple â WE CAN NOT.
If universe is a simulation (as per Elon Musk) it might explain what my insomnia is because there just might not be any room left on the sleeping server believing that the only way you can fall sleep by waking up. Isnt it? How else do you know you are sleeping?
Infact, you have absolutely no idea what happens to you when you are unconscious at night. Hypothetically if you sleep for eight hours a day (because I donât remember last time I slept at this stretch ï) means you are recharging your body for 1/3 of your entire life. Isnt it? While people claim that the amount of activity our brain does is just 20 watts of power in a way and if artificially done â we might need a nuclear power plant to process that much information â when it comes to recharge â it seems to be a poor battery because it takes 1/3 of the time to recharge.. no fast charging? Also it adds to the fact that like all batteries we degrade over time.
Looking at my phone battery (currently at 23%), I feel there will be a need of a charger in the next few hours and seems my charger is basically a life support for my phone and eventually everything comes to an end. While I am creating spikes on the energy graph, overall life is coming down to an end like our body.
Well, itâs 2:30am.. I am losing my thoughts now, dozing off and going to recharge for tmrow.
Good night :)
